Educational Qualification

For admission to the B.Ed. programme, candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities, or Commerce from a recognized institution. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics must have secured a minimum of 55% marks. Equivalent qualifications are also eligible.   For the Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed. Sanskrit) programme, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in a Bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit as the main subject along with a Master’s degree in Sanskrit or Acharya. Candidates who have passed Shastri (B.A. with Sanskrit) with 50% marks and completed a 2-year Acharya (M.A. Sanskrit) course are also eligible, subject to qualifying the prescribed Bridge Course. Marks obtained in the first year of Acharya/M.A. will not be considered while calculating the final percentage.
