Examination Details

The Indian Navy SSC Officer recruitment does not have a written examination for most branches. The selection process is based on academic performance and the Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview.

First, candidates submit their online application with all required details. After the application process is completed, the Indian Navy shortlists candidates based on their educational qualifications and marks.

Shortlisted candidates receive a call letter for the SSB Interview. The SSB process is conducted over several days and includes intelligence tests, psychological tests, group tasks, personal interviews, and leadership assessment. The purpose is to check the candidate’s personality, confidence, communication skills, and officer-like qualities.

Candidates who clear the SSB Interview must undergo a detailed medical examination. The medical test checks physical fitness, eyesight, hearing, and overall health according to Indian Navy standards.

The final selection is prepared based on SSB performance, medical fitness, eligibility, available vacancies, and merit. Selected candidates receive training at the Indian Naval Academy before joining their respective branches.
